Something else from me..

Full View and a PROPER PICTURE VIEWER ;p Recommended
The Resolution is 1920x1080, and you will miss out on details if you only skim the preview thumb.. (ok, the modelling issnt aimed at providing endless details though ,p)

Technically i can and could extend the scene to include more platform(s) with gangways sprawling out the screen, but seriously, i have to put a stop to my hobby modellings somewhere ,p

Theres some Weapon Systems In Place which are based on reality (The Gattling Towers excluded) and are modelled more or less close to their real life counter parts (except of course, you don't find THAT many detail pictures of stuff like, how does the swing arm for the ram launcher *actually* look :p

4x Exocet Launchers
1x RIM 116 - Ram Launcher
2x IRIS-T SL AA/AS/AG Launchers
4x 127/54 Oto Melara Naval Gun (These things are really that huge.. 10m from front (gun barrel) to back)
50x VLS (Vertical Launch System) Tubes

MK2 is still undecided, but its possible to extend this a bit more..

But theres a catch, i need new geometry or deas, the picture can move quite a bit upward and theres alot of room behind the base that could be covered (mainly with exocets pointing in the other 3 directions ,p)

The only way to access the interior is via the elevator DOWNWARDS (not upwards, where it rests) Mainly past a hatch/like system to prevent water from flowing in

The Gun Turrets are Submergeable, as i hope i displayed obvious enough ,p

I love DA's way to sort gallerys with "Predominant Subjects"

I have no idea what that means in regard to a SCI-FI SEABORNE - DEFENSE PLATFORM with MIXED realistic and semi-futuristic (next 5 years) Weaponry, theres no PREDOMINANT subject here, unless thats for sea (but this is definitly not a seascape, nor is it an OBJECT (bit too large for that ,p)

So my best guess is.. Scenes Other ;p

Some Questions i expect

Q: Why is the Resolution so batsh*t crazy huge
A: Cel Rendering is based on a 1 pixel line tracer, more pixels, sharper lines, easy ,p

Q: Why not simply scale the res back after rendering
A: Makes the small text too small, sorry ,p

Q: The text sucks (a bit)
A: Yes it does, but then again, you ever heard of the military paying for a stylist? ;P

Q: There is no gattling rails on the left gun emplacement
A: Intentional, why? Well maybe i will model that side and decide why, until then, its intentional ;P

Q: Why so much text
A: Because more text = more views? Hah i wish..

Is this rendered in 3D Max? What is the renderer and what's materials are used?

Just Cinema 4D and the BASIC Cel Renderer, trace mesh outlines, thats all

Its not Sketch and Toon or somesuch

Materials are basic colors and some random diffuse map at 10% not much else really

Just a different rendering style really

Sieht verdammt gut aus, ich kann auch keine größeren Schwachstellen in der Verteidigung erkennen, außer das Exocet vielleicht schon etwas veraltet ist. So gesehen fehlen jedoch noch etwas die Sensorsysteme also Luft- und Seeradar.

Mhh ja, da hast du recht .. aber so wirklich ne gute stelle dafür hab ich net gefunden, das RAM teil deckt schon so net genug raum ab, wenn ich da jetzt noch nen Radarturm hinstell wirds noch schlimmer ;(

Bin jetzt auch grad in meinem Schö;pferischen Loch (also nix was ich gerade anfang wird irgendwie so wie ich das will ,p)

Ich wollte ja eigentlich das kleinste Schiff der Marine was wir so haben Minenräumer?.. bauen, aber das schieb ich gerade vor mir her ;(

amazing relflections in the water. the water may look a bit funky but it gives off a pretty cool effect.

Nah, just some random thing for fun.. i tried stairs there, didnt look so good, i guess the ramp is a bit too steep, but nothing ventured nothing gained ,p

Im doing freelance modelling on a mmorpg so no special projects, i wish heh... Maybe i should proclaim on my front page that i do commissions...
