Holographic Display Technique

While playing Mass Effect 2 i had a flash of inspiration on how to do quick rendering, shadow casting and very modular multi-layered input devices straight in c4d - glow = photoshop, but you should always do glow in photoshop or post anyway

Easy changable to more translucent or more solid shapes, and render in near real-time because only additive transparency and color / illumination is used.
